Above are my entry boards for the 'RSA British Firsts' competition. The brief asked for a series of six first class stamps based on the term 'British Firsts." To summarise what it is said on my boards quite briefly my idea was to show inventions that originated in Britain, in their original and modern form. My idea as displayed was to use a scratch card method that would allow the modern illustration and name of the product to be revealed upon removing the top layer of print showing an illustration of the original design for the product.
